Benchmarking Moment Tensor Solutions
Interested in combining geophysics with coding and software development? This project focuses on understanding earthquakes at their source using seismic moment tensor analysis.
We are looking for a student comfortable with programming and interested in testing and evaluating open-source tools. You will work with seismic data and compare the current method used in our processing platform with alternative solutions.
The goal is to evaluate and improve approaches for analyzing earthquake source mechanisms using moment tensor inversion.
Scope
