Thesis Trainee Program: Digital Marketing, Communications and Operations

This is an opportunity for Masters students in Sweden who are interested in writing their thesis in connection with solving practical problems in the real-world faced by VakeWorks. As a Thesis Trainee with us, you get to try what it is like at a start-up working on radically transparent food systems.

There are different possible focus areas depending on your skills, interests and thesis objectives. The ideal Trainee will contribute to the development and execution of marketing and communication strategies, with a focus on enhancing online presence and engagement, across at least two of the following three markets: US, EU and China. Responsibilities may include managing social media campaigns across multiple US and Chinese owned social media eco-systems, analyzing digital marketing metrics, and creating content for online platforms, or back-end devops for sovereign European cloud deployments and migrations. The role may also involve market and business operations research in collaboration with the team to support digital marketing initiatives with a focus on sovereign business operations.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (depending on your thesis interests)
• Experience or knowledge in one of Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Online Marketing
• Proficiency in Web Analytics and ability to analyze digital marketing data
• Devops experience in general and interest in specialisation for e-commerce and/or WordPress for multi-jurisdictional cloud deployments of core contents and databases
• Web development skills for jurisdiction-agnostic social media communications in integrated e-commerce operations via WordPress, WooCommerce and other open source tools
• Familiarity with content creation tools and popular social media platforms
• An interest in regenerative practices, sustainability, or related fields is beneficial
• Currently pursuing a masters degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field
• Fluency in Mandarin and familiarity with Chinese social media platforms is desirable but not required.
