Background
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – for example in agriculture, transportation, and construction – make critical financial decisions every day without access to qualified CFO support or advanced financial analysis. This often results in suboptimal capital structures, unnecessarily high financing costs (WACC), and constrained growth.

I am developing an idea for an AI-based CFO platform that automatically analyzes company data (financial statements, loans, cash flows), simulates capital structure, and provides financing decision support – specifically designed for companies with limited financial expertise.

*The project is in an early stage (MVP / concept phase) and is well suited for:
- Bachelor thesis
- Master thesis
- Project-based courses
- Individual research or specialization projects

Core of the Project
- Students participating in the project will work on a real, open-ended problem at the intersection of:
- AI / Machine Learning
- Financial analysis and decision support
- System architecture and product development
- Usability and UX for non-expert users

- Automated analysis of financial statements (Python, ML, rules + LLMs)
- Capital structure and WACC simulation
- Decision-support design for non-financial users
